K-2nd and 3rd-5th Graders. We play boys rules, but girls are welcome! | We coach all experience levels and welcome new players.

A *Durham-specific youth lacrosse team, participating in the Orange County Rec Lacrosse League with teams from Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, and Mebane. What is Lacrosse? It’s like a combination of soccer, hockey, basketball and football…with sticks. Stick checking and mild body contact occurs, but we emphasize stick skills over aggressive physicality.

Fall 2026 Thursdays (6:15-7:15 pm practice from 9/17 to 10/14) and Saturdays (9:30-11am from 9/12 to 10/17)

Spring 2027 Wednesdays (6:15-7:15 pm practice from 3/10 to 4/14)) and Saturdays (9:30-11 am from 3/6 to 4/17).

Players may also attend other team’s weekly practices if they want to play more!

**Warbirds practices at Rogers Herr Middle School (911 W. Cornwallis Rd. Durham 27707); Sat games at rotating locations (Durham, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Mebane)

$75 covers 13 sessions and a jersey. Scholarship/Assistance is happily available; we never want cost to be a barrier to participation.

Participants will need a Stick, Helmet, Shoulder/Chest Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, a Mouthpiece, and a Water Bottle. Cleats are optional. Discounts are available at Play-it-Again (Durham & Burlington) to Orange County Rec Lacrosse League players. For this age, entry-level equipment/Starter kits work great and can be found online.

All coaches are USA Lacrosse Certified.

Although this team is promoted by the Warbirds Lacrosse Association, the Chapel Hilltopper Lacrosse Foundation will manage the registration, communications, coaching assignments, and game schedule.
